Abstract

The measurement of object shape is often taken by mechanical contact method. The speed of this method is very low and it is difficult to measure abnormal shape using this method. A noncontact magnetically measurement method is given in this paper. This method can detect the abnormal shape of ferromagnetic object very fast by Hall effect method and a system is set up under the control of single chip computer for measuring the shape of lathe tools.
