Abstract
Two different schemes of cascade excitation of the 7P3/2 level of Cs have been studied and compared. The dependence of efficiency of the two-state cascade excitation of 6D5/2 level of Cs on wavelengths and polarization of two pumping diode lasers will be presented. The dependencies of Cs efficiency of two-stage optical pumping with two diode lasers on their frequencies and polarizations will be presented. The results can be useful for development of a 455 nm Cs laser operating with and/or without inversion.
