Abstract
The problem of illumination distribution nonuniformity in the detector (scientific CCD sensor) plane, resulting from natural and geometrical vignetting effects in the camera optical system. The complex and nonlinear nature of this illumination changes are discussed, leading to the necessity of the calibration procedures in high precision photometric measurements.
