Geological transparency of intelligent mining face is the premise and guarantee to realize intelligent and accurate mining of coal resources. A large number of gas drainage holes and water exploration and drainage holes have been constructed in the underground working face of coal mine. Multiple waves will be generated in the layer when using the mine borehole radar to detect the coal rock interface and the structure around the borehole in the borehole along the coal seam. In this paper, the response characteristics of borehole radar in borehole along coal seam are analyzed by finite difference time domain simulation, and the factors affecting multiple are analyzed. Multiple wave is related to the property and thickness of coal seam, but has nothing to do with the position of borehole. Multiple wave can be used to invert the thickness of coal seam .
