This paper presents humidity sorption sensors with eight different polymer coatings. After the introduction of sensor construction, a presentation of tested sorption laters and measurement system is provided. Finally, the results are presented and discussed as well as validation tests are described. Two most suitable coatings are chosen.
This paper presents possible hardware solutions for fast, real-time thermal image acquisition, based on PCI with high-speed memory buffering using SDRAMs. A thermographic head equipped with 16 detectors were built to monitor thermal processes with the rate of 1MSample/s. A few application for textiles, glass industry and 3D scene reconstruction show the potentialities of the system.
Ultraviolet radiation (UV) is used in the textile industry to stimulate fluorescence markers. The textile material is marked using fluorescence markers, which are then visible after exposure to UV radiation. This enables the factory workers to identify the sewing or cutting lines. The interference corrector, reduces the intensity of excess and harmfull UV radiation to chosen level as well as reduce the glare via damping of the textile material' s fluorescence in order to highlight the marks.
A laser Doppler velocimeter (LDV) using a multi-fiber optic pickup was designed. A single fiber directs the beam to the moving surface. The back scattered signals were received by ten optical fibers. A multi-fiber laser Doppler velocimeter is (MFLDV) capable of determining the value of velocity as high as 10 mm/sec and as low as 0.031 mm/sec. A good linearity is obtained between Doppler shifted frequency (Delta) f and the velocity of a moving surface with a correlation factor of 0.999. LDV using fiber optics has important advantages over conventional systems, it is simpler, easier to align, and non-invasive i.e., the surface does not need to be touched or physically contacted.
