The article substantiates the need to include soft-skills development methods and technologies in the educational process. The information of methods and approaches to the development of creative (imaginative) abilities has analyzed. The program of training sessions on the formation of creative abilities (an effective and practical component) is presented. The efficiency of the formation of master students’ creative abilities in the field of optical communication system through the training sessions, activation of divergent functions of intelligence is considered.
The content of the professional standard of the master's program for training engineers in the field of optical and fiberoptic communication systems is considered; the necessity to include the methods and technologies of developing soft skills into the educational process is justified. The structure of the concept "being ready for creative thinking" is determined; the structural and functional model of the concept "being ready for creative thinking" is analyzed; scientific and methodological recommendations are developed for getting master's students ready for creativity. Approaches to and methods for the development of creative abilities are presented; the results of a diagnostic study of master's students' creativity level are analyzed.
We examined the psychological support of social interaction in the process of team building in the training of specialists in the field of "Physics and technology of optical communication" and "Photonics and optoinformatics". The article justifies the need to develop a methodology using psychological and pedagogical approaches. The results of a diagnostic study of the students' social interaction skills maturity are analyzed. Functional blocks of the methodology "Psychological support for the formation of universal competence" are presented. The project of training programs for team building on the implementation of professional prospects and improvement of the planned plans in the chosen profession is proposed.
The meaning of project management, soft skills concepts is analyzed. Various theoretical and methodological approaches to the soft skills topics are presented. The psychological and pedagogical study findings made from 2016 to the present are analyzed, indicating the adjustment methods and programs for soft skills and hard skills development levels. The indicators of emotional intelligence and critical thinking as important components in the structure of the soft skills set have been reviewed. A blueprint of soft skills development through result-oriented project management program for students studying optical communication systems is proposed.

The article discusses the features of psychological and pedagogical support of the formation of professional competencies that ensure the competitiveness of future telecommunications specialists. Stages and content of the program of psychological and pedagogical support for the preparation of bachelors in “Infocommunication Technologies and Communication Systems” specialty direction were studied. The system of integrated assessment of future professional competencies is presented. A modern psychological and pedagogical technique for the formation of professional competencies of future specialists on the basis of trainings is proposed.
The article examines modern psychological and pedagogical technologies as a method of development of motivation in training specialists in the field of optical and fiber-optic communication systems. The results of the study of the level of aspiration, socio-psychological attitudes and motivational factors in students are presented, the influence of these components upon the success of solving professional tasks is examined using the method of correlation analysis. The need to develop and implement interactive technologies in the educational process has been studied. The innovative psychological and pedagogical technology of creating motivation of future specialists based on the socio-dramatic plays, trainings is offered.
The article examines the process of formation of communicative competencies of optic and fiber optic communication systems specialists; the role of communicative competencies is examined in the structure of professionally important skills, together with the contents of professional activity. The stages of empirical research into formation of communicative competencies have been presented, and the values of statistical reliability of data have been provided. The model of formation of communicative competency using interactive technology has been developed based on the research done, and main stages of model implementation and motives of formation of communicative competency have been highlighted. A scheme of "Communicative competence as a base of future success" training session has been suggested as one of the basic interactive technologies. Main components of education that are used during the stages of the training cycle have been examined. The statistical data on the effectiveness of use of interactive educational technologies has been presented; it allowed development of communicative competency of specialists in the field of optical and fiber optic communication system.
