Mathilde Patin (24-11-1992) is a Ph.D. candidate in Applied Physics and Photonics at the Faculty of Engineering of the Vrije Universiteit Brussel. She is president of the VUB Student Chapter of the SPIE, the international society of Photo-Optical Instrumentation Engineers. After a Bachelor’s in History of Art and Archaeology at Lille 3 University, Mathilde graduated as an archaeologist (2016) and archaeometrist (2015) at Aix Marseille University and Bordeaux Montaigne University. She is specialised in glass studies, focusing on questions about material composition, provenance, workshop and production technology.
