We demonstrated that achieving suitable adjustable and tunable magneto-optical (MO) responses is possible by offering an appropriate approach for the design of magnetophotonic crystal (MPC) structures. The introduced MPCs are thin and high performance (with Kerr rotations around or even more than 90 deg accompanied by reflections near 100%). Our designs also offer multifunctional operations that can lead to devices which possess multioperation modes such as polarization mode converting, MO sensing, and isolation. To attain different modes of operation, we use an adjustment parameter.
