The article describes the experience of creating an electronic cadastre of rare species as a form of collecting primary data on population monitoring of higher vascular plants included in the Red Books of various ranks and classified as objects of protection of specially protected natural areas. The studies covered two protected areas located in the Murmansk region (Russian Federation): the state natural park "Rybachy and Sredny Peninsulas" and the state natural monument of federal significance "Lake Mogilnoye".
