Dr. Vinogradov is an expert in basic and applied research and development of semiconductor photodetectors including Silicon / Solid State Photomultipliers (SiPM, SSPM) - a new generation of solid-state photodetectors with unique photon number resolving performance at room temperature. He is experienced in solid state physics, experimental studies and measurement techniques, probabilistic simulations, and applications of solid state photodetectors in Medical Imaging, BioMed, and Telecom.
Now he is mainly focused on analytical probabilistic models of SiPM signal distribution, a few photon level measurement and characterization methodology, and analysis of SiPM performance for specific applications.
