With the rapid development of smart grids, a variety of monitoring technologies have been applied in power system to ensure its safe and stable operation. The configuration software has excellent characteristics such as real-time, easy to operate, and intuitive interface image, so it is widely applied to the field of power monitoring. The power monitoring system based on the configuration software is analyzed and studied in this paper. Firstly, the structure of this system is designed by using the technology of Internet of Things and configuration software, then the application of the power monitoring system in the power grid is elaborated, which can provide a reference for the subsequent design and application of the power monitoring system and help the realization of the smart grid.
