Global warming has had a huge impact on our lives, and carbon dioxide, as one of the greenhouse gases, has drawn enormous attention. This paper briefly introduces the urban transportation carbon emission monitoring and analysis platform. First, this article briefly introduces the platform architecture and functions. After that, the mobile carbon emission monitoring system is introduced, including the carbon emission and driving characteristics monitoring module, the traffic and road condition information collection module, and the meteorological monitoring module. After that, the transportation carbon emissions are analyzed from the micro, meso, and macro levels. At the macro level, bottom-up and top-down methods are selected to calculate carbon emissions quantification. Finally, through an example analysis, it is concluded that small passenger vehicles and heavy trucks are the two most important emission sources in urban traffic.
