Abstract
From communication and publishing behemoths to mom-and-pop makers of CD-ROMs, from Michael Ovitz to trisha@ramp.com, purveyors and packagers of bits are racing for grubstakes and homesteads in the digital wilderness. This paper surveys some of the current trends with specific examples.
