Abstract
The metro network is becoming more and more perfect. With the improvement of passenger accessibility, the passenger flow of the road network is also increasing. Meeting the huge passenger flow demand as much as possible has become an urgent problem for subway operators and managers. This paper constructs the evaluation indicators of subway passenger flow from four levels, namely, the variability of the entire network level, the variability of the line level, the variability of the OD level, and the variability of the transfer volume. A calculation method for the coefficient of variation was developed based on the AFC data. The coefficient of variation was used to identify the time, route, and OD where the abnormal passenger flow occurred, analyze the abnormal events, record the set of abnormal events, and use the Beijing subway AFC data to verify the effectiveness of the method.
