Abstract
By recording the traffic conflicts at the intersection of Jianjun Road and Kaifang Avenue in YanCheng City. Traffic conflicts are classified into three types under the four-phase condition: the conflicts between motor vehicles and motor vehicles, non-motor vehicles or pedestrians. The three types of conflicts are analyzed and shown. Based on the critical conflict area, the vehicle model is considered as a factor, a conflict prediction model is established. The model is verified with the example of the sample intersection. On this basis, according to the conflict between the two traffic entities. The parameters such as conflict distance, perspective and speed are analyzed to establish a conflict severity model. The two traffic entities that have used the conflict prediction model to determine the traffic conflict are used to determine the severity of the conflict. Finally, according to the current situation of the sample intersections, from the aspects of motor vehicles, non-motor vehicles and pedestrians. By putting forward optimization and improvement measures to the intersection to improve the safety of the intersection.
