Abstract
Weintroduce the notion of descriptional complexity of nite-dimensional unitary transformations, which is closely related to the notion of Kolmogorov complexity of a quantum state. In quantum computing, quantum states are associated with quantum data, and unitary transformations of quantum states are associated with quantum computer programs.
