Abstract
This article develops a novel calibration method to calibrate automatic catchweighing instrument by studying the principle of the instrument, and using standard weights and test loads as calibration apparatus. The method evaluates the metrological performance of automatic catchweighing instrument by calibrating the weighing error in static operation, the weighing error and measurement repeatability in automatic operation, and the eccentricity both in static and automatic operation. The experimental results show that this method can effectively evaluate the metrological performance of automatic catchweighing instrument, and is of great significance to the quality control and metrological traceability of the instrument.
