Abstract
The deviations of the spectral composition of air density fluctuations in a supersonic flow from that predicted by the developed turbulence model, recorded in experiments in wind tunnels, require a revision of the estimates of the disturbance of optical waves propagating through the flow. This article demonstrates a significant dependence of the statistical characteristics describing the degradation of the phase structure and amplitude distribution of laser radiation during the passage of a shock wave near the surface of a supersonic aircraft, on the parameters of the power model of the turbulence spectrum and, in particular, on the exponent. Analytical estimates of the coherence radius and relative dispersion of intensity fluctuations of a plane wave and the results of numerical simulations confirming their correctness are presented.
