Abstract
In this paper, on the basis of numerical modeling data, the influence of the global mode of the general circulation of the atmosphere and the ocean El Niño - Southern Oscillation on the precipitation mode in the mid-latitudes of the Northern hemisphere, in particular in Russia, is analyzed. The greatest response of the precipitation mode in Russia to the events of El Niño and La Niña falls at the end of the year was revealed. The regions that have a steady positive response to the El Niño events, such as the Central part of Russia and Kamchatka, as well as a negative response - on the coast of the Caspian Sea and the Far East, are defined.
