Abstract
With the implementation of China's "double carbon" strategy, the low emission and peaking capability of gas turbines have received wide attention. In order to achieve zero carbon emission of gas turbine, this paper studies the effect of hydrogen combustion on the performance of gas turbine, and simulates the effect of inlet gas temperature on the flow field, outlet temperature distribution, pressure loss and pollutant emission under the condition of constant power of hydrogen gas turbine through numerical simulation of a certain type of gas turbine by fluent. The results show that with a constant fuel mass flow rate, the inlet and outlet velocities of the combustion chamber increase significantly with increasing inlet gas temperature, which does not significantly affect the reflux zone, but changes the velocity distribution, making the radial velocity distribution centrosymmetric. In addition, the hot spot indicator gradually decreases, the temperature distribution of the gas exiting the combustion chamber becomes more uniform and the gas quality gradually improves, but the pressure loss and NOx pollutant emissions gradually increase. The combustion characteristics and emission characteristics of the gas turbine combustion chamber under full hydrogen combustion are derived from numerical simulations in this study, which provide a reference for future gas turbine fuel changes and hydrogen doping design.
