Abstract
The coordination problem caused by economic development promoting urban expansion is concerned by various scholars. This paper is based on nighttime lighting data and socio-economic data from 2013 to 2020,constructed a quaternary system coupling coordination degree model to evaluate the coordination of urban expansion. To reveal the increasing and decreasing trend of urban coordination in Guangxi in recent years. The results show that: The total night-time light in all cities of Guangxi is on the rise, and the amplitude is different, which is consistent with the economic growth. Most cities in Guangxi are in an uncoordinated state, and the coordination of many cities in the study period shows an overall upward trend. Guangxi as a whole is developing in a coordinated and sustainable direction.
