Abstract
Compared to conventional power transmission lines, Gas Insulated Transmission Lines (GIL) offer advantages such as smaller footprint, higher capacity, and increased reliability. These characteristics make GIL more suitable for meeting the growing power and safety requirements of modern urban development. In dense urban power grids, the vibrations caused by urban transportation systems like subways and automobiles are important factors to consider in GIL design. So far, there has been a lack of comprehensive research on the vibration characteristics of GIL, as compared to its electrical properties. Therefore, this study utilizes finite element software to model the standard segments of 550 kV GIL, employing modal analysis techniques to investigate the various mode characteristics within specific frequency ranges. This analysis aims to predict the actual vibration response of GIL under different vibration sources. The findings of this study provide fundamental data, including modal shapes, for researching the vibration characteristics of 550 kV GIL, contributing to a better understanding and prevention of resonance phenomena. This research holds both theoretical significance and practical implications.
