Abstract
To study the influence of air resistance on the theoretical calculation of fuel consumption under different working conditions and the conditions for using the simplified calculation form of ignoring air resistance to calculate fuel consumption, this study starts with specific examples of theoretical analysis of air resistance and fuel consumption and uses MATLAB software to fit and analyze the influence of air resistance on the calculation of fuel consumption. The scope of application of the simplified calculation form of the theoretical calculation of vehicle fuel consumption is further proposed. Finally, it is found that under the acceleration condition, when the acceleration reaches a certain value, the vehicle speed is within the maximum allowable error range of power calculation. The influence of air resistance on power calculation can be ignored. Under the condition of constant speed and given road conditions, the influence of air resistance can be ignored when the speed reaches a certain critical value and increases with the increase of the rolling resistance coefficient. This calculation model is put forward with a specific example, which provides ideas and suggestions for the theoretical design of vehicle fuel economy.
