Abstract
With rapid urbanization, cities around the world have undergone significant changes in their spatial and functional structures. Most previous studies focus on the division of urban regions, however, this cannot forecast the development of the city. In this paper, we propose a novel concept named regional intensity (RI) to indicate the functional intensity of each region and predict the regional development trend. In the end, we conduct extensive experiments using the temporal dataset of New York City to verify the effectiveness of our proposed approach.
