Abstract
Since the capacity and voltage of a single lithium battery are very small, dozens of single batteries are usually connected in series and parallel to form a battery pack to provide sufficient energy for electric vehicles. However, with the popularity of electric vehicles, spontaneous combustion and explosion of lithium batteries due to faults in the batteries occur from time to time, seriously threatening the safety of people's lives and property. This paper takes the actual operation data of electric vehicles as the basis and uses the method of wavelet decomposition and reconstruction to reduce the noise of the data. Then through the improved Z-score model, the difference between a normal single battery and a faulty single is amplified, and the serial number of the faulty single battery is accurately identified, and the time of fault occurrence is determined. According to the diagnostic results, the method proposed in this paper, on the one hand, can identify the faulty cells in the early stage of the fault, on the other hand, it can reduce the fault false positive rate caused by the inconsistency of the cells.
