Abstract
A stereoscopic volumetric workstation (SVW) designed to exploit hand-eye coordination for "remote repair" tasks provides an interesting telepresence environment that opens new opportunities for stereoscopic imaging. We describe the motivation, design decisions, implementation and preliminary user testing of a multi-user, multi-computer, network connected, augmented reality system.
