Abstract
A method of defogging images is introduced for contrast degraded of outdoor thin fog color image. Firstly, wavelet transform decomposed an image, then low-frequency using the atmospheric scattering simply model to unsharpe masking high-pass filter, and image reconstruction after using the nonlinear transform to the high-frequency images; Finally using the single scale retinex algorithm and color resuming to improve brightness and strengthen color performance. Experimental results show that this algorithm is effective and practical, the effect is ideal.
