The structural scheme of the hydropulse device for strain hardening of materials is considered. Based on the block diagram of the device, its complete and simplified dynamic models are developed. On the basis of the dynamic model of the device and the scientifically grounded structure of assumptions, a mathematical model of the device was developed, the hydraulic link in which is presented as the Kelvin - Voigt body. For energy reasons, the choice of the force of the shock interaction of the piston - pulsator with the surface of the processed part is grounded.
