SC741: III-Nitride Deep UV Photonics
This course provides attendees with an overview on recent advances in the deep ultraviolet (UV) photonic materials and devices based upon III-nitride wide bandgap semiconductors. The course covers fundamental material issues, micro- and nano-scale photonic device integration, deep UV emitter and detector fabrication, and device applications. The remaining foremost challenging issues and future development of nitride technologies will be discussed.
