Dr Marina A.Leontiadou obtained both a BSc degree and a MSc (Hons) degree in Physics from The University of Cyprus. She then moved to the Advance Technology Institute at the University of Surrey, United Kingdom where she studied the spin-dynamics in semiconductor structures for her PhD. Dr Leontiadou then spent a period as a post-doctoral research associate at the Photon Science Institute, at The University of Manchester working on photovoltaic materials. In 2018 she was awarded a lecturership position (assistant professor) at the University of Salford. Her research interests focus on exploiting experimental physics to understand and develop novel photovoltaic and spintronic materials.
