Rakeshkumar Mahto is Associate Professor with the Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering, California State University, Fullerton, CA. His dissertation work was on creating solar cell based power source, reconfigurable, and programmable using MOSFET transistor switches. As faculty, Dr. Mahto has extensively performed research on developing a smart, and reconfigurable solar cell array. Dr. Mahto has several years of experience in modeling and characterizing solar panels. His research interests include photovoltaics, design application of FPGAs, low power design, mixed-signal system design, hardware security, and RF electronics.

In Fall 2019, Dr. Mahto received an Outstanding Professor Award for teaching. Also, Dr. Mahto is a recipient of the Faculty Advisor of Distinction Award for providing exceptional service as a student mentor.
