The work is devoted to the analysis of long-term data series of the world network of ionospheric stations, and is aimed at studying the spectral composition and revealing long-term trends of the critical frequency F2 of the ionospheric layer. The accuracy of the description of the obtained model is calculated and the parameters of this model are given. The novelty of the work consists in applying the original method of constructing the model, and, accordingly, in creating a new qualitative-quantitative relationship of the input parameters and the results obtained from the empirical model. Also, the calculation of the parameters of the linear trend for each hour of local time at each latitude of the northern and southern hemisphere is given. The space-time distribution of the rate of change of the critical frequency foF2 on a global scale is presented.
The paper presents the results of evaluation of the impact of geomagnetic storms on the Earth's ionosphere. As a data (investigated ranks) used the critical frequency of the F2 layer of the ionosphere and characteristic of geomagnetic activity - Kp index. The purpose of research is a quantitative assessment of the influence of magnetic storms on the Earth's ionosphere.

The article discusses basics of electromagnetic fields monitoring in the frequency range from 1 kHz to 30 MHz. Registration methods of experimental data processing obtained by ionosonde "TOMION" are provided. When using the global network of digital ionosondes "TOMION" will be able to monitor ionosphere condition in the passive mode of oblique radiosounding, as well as to perform the short-term (immediate) forecast of stable radio communication and electromagnetic pollution control on a global scale.
The article is a brief description of the software developed for operation ionosonde "TOMION" in an accelerated mode active vertical radiosounding of the ionosphere.

The work is devoted to the analysis of ionospheric parameters on the basis of the National Geophysical Data Centre (NGDC). There is a quantitative assessment of the long-term variations in the critical frequency of F2 region of the ionosphere as a function of an 11 year old cycle of solar activity.
In the study the critical frequency of the F2-layer of the ionosphere data obtained at Ionospheric Observatory of Tomsk
State University are analyzed. The analysis focuses on the study of the spectral composition and determining the long-term
trends values of foF2. For the spectral estimation the anharmonic decomposition method is used. The result of
research is establishing the dependence of a long-period trends character, periods values and the amplitudes of variations
of foF2 values caused by the eleven-year cycle of the Sun activity and orbital movement of the Earth on time of a day
and a season of year.

This study is devoted to the development of new techniques for the research of the ionosphere state. This paper describes the new approaches to development and implementation of the methods for remote radio sounding of the ionosphere on the basis of the world technological advances and the most innovative methods of data analysis, applied at Ionospheric Observatory of Tomsk State University using data processing software Dynasonde 21.
