My name is Doan Nam Thai currently working at Metrology and thin film process Laboratory and SNU Precision., ltd as a senior researcher. Although I have attached my biography to this letter, I would like to briefly introduce my educational background, career and current research interests to help your understanding and decision.
I received B.E degree with honor from Department of Mechanical Engineering, Hanoi University of Technology. My major was Mechatronics. For my research career growth, I have been engaged in the Ph.D. program at Department of Mechanical and Aerospace, Seoul National University since March 2007. I am going to defend my PhD’s dissertation in December, 2012. My dissertation is entitled “A novel fast super-resolution image reconstruction using a high-speed substepping system for glass panel inspection”
Since Sep. 2007, I have joined in SNU Precision Co., Ltd which has accumulated specialized experience on 2D and 3D none-contact measurement technology on various industries. Being a member of SNU Precision’s research team, I have developed much software based on image processing for industrial projects. My professional experiences can be categorized in threefold: development of image processing algorithm for 2D and 3D measurement using C++; pattern recognition and classification; and development of embedded DSP-based control system.
