Abstract
As a kind of electronic equipment, the control and protection device for VSC-HVDC may fail under the influence of electromagnetic interference, which will bring security risks to VSC-HVDC system, so it is necessary to carry out the research on electromagnetic interference of the device. This paper summarizes the forms, types and sources of electromagnetic interference, points out that common-mode and conducted interference has the greatest impact on the device. The vulnerabilities of the device concerning EMI are analyzed, with simulations on cable paralleling and chassis shielding suggesting that analog small signals within the device are most susceptible to EMI. According to the existing weaknesses, the corresponding optimization design scheme is proposed, focusing on the propagation path of electromagnetic interference, the shielding measures and the improvement method of the forward loop of the analog-to-digital converter are given, and the selection ideas of operational amplifiers and filters are provided from the perspective of noise characteristics and signal bandwidth. This paper provides theoretical value for the analysis of electromagnetic interference weaknesses and the optimization design scheme of the device.
