Weijie Chen obtained his PhD in Medical Physics from the University of Chicago in 2007. He is currently a research physicist in the Center for Devices and Radiological Health at the US FDA. At CDRH, he conducts research and supports regulatory review of medical devices with his expertise in artificial intelligence and machine learning, medical image analysis and statistical assessment methodologies for diagnostic medicine. He is an editorial board member and associate editor for the SPIE Journal of Medical Imaging.
